LEAKED: Chelsea’s second and third kits for 2013/14

 

Chelsea’s kit manufacturers Adidas seem to have had a lot of fun designing the club’s away strip for the forthcoming season, as they appear to have paid tribute to Liverpool striker Luis Suarez in the shirt’s design.

The predominantly white shirt features two horizontal stripes, one red and one blue and looks to resemble a tube of Colgate toothpaste. Could this be in recognition of the teeth marks Suarez left in Blues defender Branislav Ivanovic?

Who knows, but this kit leak is sure to divide Chelsea fans, with some happy to see kits with a red trim – historically in respect of the Chelsea Pensioners – while others feel the club should distance themselves from the colour of many rival sides.

A design for the club’s third kit for next season has also been leaked.

This black and white strip resembles Chelsea’s second strip in 2008-09, as well as designs by the club’s former kit manufacturer Umbro in 2004-05 and 2005-06.
